About MAAC

Our Mission

The Midwest Antique Airplane Club (MAAC) was founded to promote interest in antique airplanes.  MAAC has expanded to include all aspects of preservation, restoration and the flying of antique and classic aircraft.

The Midwest Antique Airplane Club has grown to more than 800 members from all over North America and several foreign countries.  Club members restore and operate a wide variety of aircraft types.  Honors earned by MAAC members include over a dozen National Grand Champions and numerous other high level awards.

MAAC meetings are held quarterly.  The quarterly meetings are hosted by members at a variety of airports throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and central Minnesota.

There are two events that highlight our yearly activities.  The members only “Grassroots Fly-In”, our major flying event, is held annually in September at the Brodhead, WI Airport.  Our big season ending social gathering is the Midwest Antique Airplane Club Annual Banquet, which is held in the fall, usually at the Holiday Inn in Fond Du Lac, WI.

The elected officers and directors, and the members work together to continue to promote and perpetuate interest in antique and classic airplanes.
